The longevity of the Frigidaire brand and competitive price point is what had me leaning toward purchasing this unit. I also read the reviews. It is not silent but not obnoxiously loud either. I am pleased with its performance so far and am glad that I purchased.

Stopped blowing cold air after 6 months of use. It just runs 24/7 and cannot cool to the set temp like when it was new. Usually a 10+ degree split between the actual temp in the room and the temp set on the unit. Very disappointing.

I only had to use it a couple of times so far. The times I used it, it worked great. The remote is a must for convenience. I only wish I had the remote with the readout. That is another model remote. So far I like it.

Great little air conditioner . I purchased this as a donation for a veteran in nicholas co ky . And it is exactly what this gentleman needed and the only problem is fedex their delivery service is horrible. But the frigidaire appliance is solid.

Up here in southern New England it never gets hot like it does in Houston TX but this year that statement doesn't hold. I spend most my days in my studio working on music projects, all the while baking in the heat...but last month that all changed when my "new best friend" arrived to cool things off. This is my c 2nd Frigidaire window AC unit and I absolutely love it. It cools off the entire space and I LIVE the Dry feature for when it™™s just humid and not so hot. I™™m replacing all of my window units (currently another major brand) with Frigidaire units because Frigidaire is that much better.

This unit works well enough for its price point! Gets the room cold, is loud but nothing too crazy, was super easy to install. What I expect for a window unit like this. My only complaint is that the photos on the site show this model having the remote sensing capabilities, which I find would be helpful in maintaining a consistent/accurate room temp, and my unit did not have this. To compensate I typically just have to keep the temperature set for a few degrees less than I want the room to be to get it there.

We bought a no name air conditioner early in the season. When it was warm enough to need it we put it in our bedroom. It would turn off as you changed speeds. The low speed gave no cooling. It was a nightmare. Always but name brand. Always by Frigidaire! It is quiet, the room temperature is always what the screen says it is! We are very happy.

Wanted to upgrade from my old AC and I am really enjoying my new one. It isn't as noisy, more upgraded in terms of temp and setting control, and installation was not difficult. I also got a discount for being a nurse which I love :)

I purchased this unit direct from Frigidaire. The unit shipped in 2 days which was very fast.I found installation of this AC unit to be quick and easy with well written directions. It took me approximately 1 hr to install from start to finish. The unit cooled down my upstairs bedroom with ease in about 10 minutes time. Cycles on and off as it should and generally am pleased with this unit. My only concern was that it is a little louder than I thoughtwhile running. I would definitely buy again from Frigidaire and recommend this AC unit .

We opted for a 6,000 BTU air conditioner as the 5,000 was just a little too small to cool our large bedroom and the 8,000 was too big. This a/c is working great. Not very quiet, but quieter than our previous one.

This AC works pretty well for the price. I appreciate the remote and slightly upgraded feeling interface. It does a nice job cooling our bedroom, though it is a bit noisier than my last window unit. It took a night or two to get used to this, but now it feels normal.
