This absolutely met my expectations! I have a dog that sheds a lot and needed a vacuum as my regular cleaner. This gets up all the hair from the floor and from the couch as well. The only reason it does not receive five stars is that I wish it had a retractable cord.

I am really impressed with the Electrolux Ultimate500 Upright Vacuum! From the first use, I could tell this vacuum has some serious suction power. It picked up dirt, dust, and debris that I didn™€™t even realize was still in my floors.I really like how lightweight and easy it is to use, especially for cleaning larger areas. It works well on both hardwood floors and carpet, and the adjustable floor setting makes it easy to get the right amount of suction for different surfaces. The large dust cup is also a big plus because I can clean without constantly stopping to empty it.The long cord gives me plenty of room to move around without having to keep unplugging and replugging the vacuum. I also like the attachments for getting into corners, along furniture, and other hard-to-reach areas.Another feature I appreciate is the HEPA filtration system, especially because it helps capture fine dust and particles rather than simply putting them back into the air. Electrolux says the Ultimate500™€™s filtration captures up to 98.8% of dirt and dust as small as 0.5 microns. (Electrolux Group??)Overall, this vacuum feels well made, has excellent suction, is easy to operate, and does a great job getting the floors truly clean. We have a Golden Retrieve so always LOTS of hair. A mix of hardwoods, rugs, and carpet upstairs. The new vacuum did a great job! It lacks a couple features, but from my viewpoint those are things that then don't break (such as a retractable power cord). It's easy to get the canister out and dump the dirt/hair. So far so good!

Strong Suction

We have had our Ultimate Pet Vacuum for a few weeks now and we are thrilled with the results. The suction is strong, picking up small debris and lightweight dust particles. It also does an amazing job picking up hair. The beater bar is exceptionally strong and even loosened the fibers of a matted down portion of our builder-grade carpet. I vacuum once a week and I have never seen as much in the canister on my current vacuum as I did the Ultimate. That is a huge testament to its suction capabilities. One piece of feedback would be to make the front portion a bit smaller; I found it hard to get the vacuum under the beds and dressers in my home. And then the pet attachment kept falling off, so finding a way to secure this on better in future iterations. Overall we are very happy with this vacuum. As you can see it did a great job lifting up dust, dirt and debris from our second floor carpeted area.

My sister works for Electrolux and asked me to review this product. I was very satisfied with it. Set up was very simple. It was easy to maneuver around. I love the dial on the front that you can move to change the height so that you can quickly go from hardwood floors to a rug and then to carpet with a simple turn of the knob. It was easy to empty when the canister was full. I also liked the quick access to the filters so they can be changed without having to take the whole vacuum apart. Overall I recommend this product to anyone looking for a upright vacuum.

After using the Electrolux Ultimate 500 Pet Upright Vacuum for more than a week, I have been very impressed with its cleaning performance.The biggest standout for me is the suction. It has plenty of power and does an excellent job picking up debris and dog hair across different flooring surfaces. Truthfully, you will have to have it on the middle setting if you want to go from hardwood to area rug without having to feel like you are pushing a car.For a household dealing with everyday dirt, dust and pet hair, the Ultimate 500 Pet feels like a serious upright vacuum rather than a lightweight machine that sacrifices power for convenience.If strong suction and effective cleaning across hardwood floors and area rugs are your priorities, the Electrolux Ultimate 500 Pet Upright Vacuum delivers.

It arrived! Opened the box and unpacked this beautiful vacuum. Handle was easy enough to install and all the attachments fit in place. The floor level adjustments for make a difference on hardwood, area rug, and carpet floors. Cat fur disappeared with multiple emptying of the canister. Filter works nicely. Color stands out among other vacuums.

If you have a dog that sheds as much as my black lab, you know how quickly pet hair takes over the house. I™€™ve been really happy with how this vacuum performs. The suction is strong, and the turbo pet attachment does a great job pulling hair off the couch, dog bed, and other surfaces where fur hides.One of my favorite features is how lightweight it is. I can easily carry it upstairs, and it maneuvers around furniture well. The 29 foot cord is a huge plus because I can vacuum multiple rooms without constantly stopping to find another outlet. The large dustbin also holds a lot before it needs to be emptied.Emptying the dustbin is surprisingly easy, too. I love that I don™€™t have to touch any of the dirt or pet hair when I empty it into the trash can. The HEPA filter is another nice bonus, especially with all the dust and pet dander in my home. I have seasonal allergies and this seems to be making a slight difference.The only thing I™€™d change is adding a retractable cord and a user manual that contains written instructions as well. It only has photos and although it was easy to out together, I don™€™t like the way the manual is formatted. If you™€™re looking for an everyday, easy to use vacuum that can handle a house with shedding pets, I™€™d definitely recommend this vacuum.

I have owned an Electrolux Vacuum for 30+ years and it was an extremely high quality, durable, well built product. I never had any issues maneuvering my previous vacuum, despite the heaviness of the machine. This new vacuum has an extremely high suction that sucks my rugs up and makes the machine difficult to even push. The parts of the vacuum feel inexpensive and light weight. It is easy to push and maneuver until you turn it on. This would be a better choice for hard surfaces without rugs or carpets despite the high suction.

Back to a Traditional Vacuum and I m Glad I Did

After years of using a stick vacuum, I finally decided to switch back to a traditional upright because, with dogs in the house, I needed more cleaning power. I loved the convenience of a stick vacuum, but it just wasn™€™t keeping up with all the pet hair that worked its way into our rugs and carpet.This vacuum has been a huge improvement. The suction is noticeably stronger, and it pulls up dirt and pet hair that I didn™€™t even realize was still there. The larger dust bin means I™€™m not stopping every few minutes to empty it, and I appreciate not having to worry about charging a battery before tackling the whole house.If you have pets and have been wondering whether it™€™s worth going back to a full-size vacuum, I™€™d say absolutely. We got this vacuum as a lighter weight one for someRugs and hardwoods downstairs so we don™€™t have to lug or heavy one up and down the stairs anymore. I™€™m very pleased with the weight and ease of use. It does the job and i like how you can change floor thickness from hardwoods to high pile carpet. I do love the colors also! I love the Ultimate500 Pet Upright Vacuum. I have a bad back so ease of use is very important to me. This vacuum self propels and turns really easily. It is sturdy yet feels lightweight and guides itself. It did a great job removing the dog hair from my carpet and the sofa (with the pet tool accessory). Easy to put together. I di it in about 2 minutes.

It™€™s held up nicely so far and does exactly what I need it to. I do think it would be more convenient if the cord had an auto retracting mechanism, but that™€™s only a small complaint. The suction on the vacuum is fantastic, it genuinely gets the job done very well. The only small gripe that I have with it is it™€™s a little hard to maneuver, if you™€™re young like me I don™€™t have an issue with it but I can imagine it be a little difficult for elderly people. For reference the room in the pictures attached is my hobby room and I normally vacuum/deepclean about once a week and it still picked up a tremendous amount of hair from me and my dachshund. Overall I enjoy the results I feel like my carpet looks clean and is actually clean beyond the surface

I have always been a Shark fan for years, especially with pets! However, I am honestly shocked and and surprised by the suction on this Electrolux vacuum! Um, it's crazy! The amount of dirt and hair that this vacuum sucked up after I just used my Shark is impressive. the vacuum itself is pretty lightweight, easy to use and was super easy to put together. It looks like I will be saying goodbye to my shark vacuum because I have a new fav vacuum! It's also super easy on the eyes & sleek, which I appreciate too!
